Mine are cheap Chinese but they really are VERY powerful. In heavy mist on Tuesday night the pencil beams sliced into the murk.
I just press the switch a couple of time to unstrobe them. Eventually I'll do the chipectomy

They have a chip which selects full power, low power (but still very bright) or strobe. It would be handy to have a separate switch to choose but it's done with the on off switch. So you get any mode pretty much at random. Not very useful to say the least.

There are vids on You Tube showing how to remove the feature.
