Anyone else having trouble with the cruise control reset switch.
I just had mine replaced without a murmer but the new one does not reset either...

after disengaging the cruise control with operation of brake, throttle or clutch, in order to re engage at the originally selected speed, pull the "set/reset" switch towards you.
Cruise control will re engage and bike will accelerate back to original speed.
That is to say, it SHOULD accelerate back to the original speed, mine just re engages and holds the current speed...

Mine works as you have described (2012 bike).
If you set the cruise control, does the switch work to increase / decrease the set speed. If so; then it isn't the switch!

Pretty sure my 2013 does the same, when 'engaged' then you can push/pull the switch (small one) to increase/decrease speed whilst on the go.

After braking, just push the speed set switch to reset.

Yeah, mine does that as of now. Dealer to change left switchgear ... maybe yours needs a change again? :nenau

I know how it's supposed to work. It doesn't work as it should

I just want to know if anyone else has had the same problem.

Has anyone else had the same problem??

It appears not,

But:
Button forward = Set/Accelerate
Button back = Resume/Decelerate

If button back to decelerate works (you haven't told us this yet), then it ain't the button!

BTW, I've had 4 switch failures within a 10,000 mile period (screen, indicators, start and heated seat) but not heard of the CC switch failing before.

Hmmm I don't use the decelerate function so I can't say whether it works correctly or not , but when I pull the button back, it simply engages at the current speed.
So, thinking about it, the switch is sending a signal -decelerate/resume- and the control box should be working out which it is depending on the current status -engaged, in which case it should decelerate, or disengaged in which case it SHOULD re engage at the previously set speed.
I'm off to the Black Forest tomorrow so I'll investigate further on the motorway sections.
I'm inclined to think you are right
