Ctek battery charger

Hi Guys such a simple question but just checking before I fit one is it ok to disconnect my battery on a 2016 GS LC Adventure and fit a charging cable without upsetting anything on the electronics of the bike

No problem at all, some of the lads even take their batteries out for the winter, and if you are pulling the battery out to connect it to the positive actually on the battery and not the little red button on the right of the battery, check the video below as to how to close the battery box again.

I have a Ctek comfort indicator permanently attached to my 2016 GS battery and it's connected on float most times I leave it more than overnight. All is well.

Yes, it's fine to do this but not necessary as BMW provides an accessory/jump start point that will be perfect for the job. Saves faffing with the battery.
