Dawn to dusk

enter

are you sure, just came back from wales and that nearly killed my love of off roading . team jagermiester will ride again?????????:comfort

I want to enter this again on my 1100GS but SWMBO is not so keen. She seems to think that it is beyond my ability and I'm only going to hurt myself or make a fool of myself, but then again, why change the habits of a lifetime? :D
I have to wait until my wrist is back to full strength. Also have to fix up the bike.

It is a great event especially the 10 hour overnight section. Nick Plumb has promised that this years night section will be friendlier for big bikes with milder options instead of the full-on enduro bits.

If I'm not up to riding then then I'll still be there to help and spectate.

bandit

do you fancy a day out at enduro kent soon just for the practice

enduro

there is one on the 15 july if that suits ,or ride a hare and hounds near that time ?? dont mind its up to you. maybe try to get serge to join us ???

tbec

has an event on the 14 july ,have a look on there website? it is given as an easy event mx plus some woods to play in . it s not far to travel might be just the the thing for a play day ...:beerjug:

Just had a crazy thought about doing the dawn to dusk on the XChallenge...

:blast

Bum - I would do this with you but am away for work that w/e. Work is always getting in the way of humiliating myself on a dirt bike:augie

So has anybody entered on a big bike?

So has anybody entered on a big bike?

I was seriously looking into it, but my fitness is non existent at present-damned plantar fascitiis , and now with 2 weeks to go i have no chance of sorting it out, and the deadline for entry is tomorrow anyway.

So it looks like i'm out!.

:blast

Next year however....:thumb

I am in for the 24hr, I did the 5hr Portsmouth Ironman on Sunday that was very tough.

I am dreading the 24hrs.

Any tips from those that have completed this, how often did you stop and fuel/rest your body. Did you have a quick nap at all?

thx all

Mate did the 24hr marathon last year and wn the clubman class, he is very very fit and still found it very hard going, best advice is stop and take a break every couple of laps and just keep going, if you feel the need to sleep then do it as thats when most accidents happen, i have seen a few.
Most important is enjoy and not push yourself early on but try and get most laps in during the night as it's only around 5-7 miles and not the 16 in the day.
