There is a better than even chance that we will get split up on the train.
To make sure everyone gets on it, let's see if we can all meet up to say "Hello" between leaving Blighty and arriving in France.
To make sure everyone gets off the train OK (problems are not unknown in a group, not least if the door to the carriage jams) let's definitely regather in the Texaco station, on the left, straight after leaving the train.... Tom, that is not an excuse not to buy fuel - or do the weekly shop -
before you leave the coast of England
For those that have GPS, I will post up the final Garmin route well before we depart.
For those without a GPS we can also use the drop-off 'marker' system, too. There are some roundabouts where it is perhaps difficult to drop off a clear marker on the entry / exit (I don't want anyone to end up as a French mascot) but I will do my best. We do not plan to use any motorways but if for some reason we end up on one, I will NOT drop a marker at the exit; it is simply too dangerous.
If anyone is unfamiliar with the drop-off 'marker' system don't be bashful.... sing out and we'll run through it on the train or at the Texaco station.
I will do some routecards in Excel, too, I hope.
It's not an organised trip and just for a day, but it's a good idea to have Travel and Breakdown Insurance, just in case the worse happens.
Similarly, the French police are very hot on:
Passport
Driving Licence (don't forget the green counterparty, too)
Valid Insurance
Les flics were running spot checks on the first roundabout leaving the train last Saturday. I wasn't stopped but they were pulling Brit's over, for sure. Why? I have no idea; because they can, probably.

The Basque shooting of last night will probably make them jumpy, too.
