Its obvious Engineer is on a proper wind up, and me for one he has given a proper laugh with his simple minded blinkered vision rancorous comments on the subject, im fairly sure now everyone has sussed this,

For me personally...no. I'd already decided it would take too much control away from the rider for me to cope with. However "nice" it may be for others (and your near endorsement )

I'm still undecided about all the other useless electronic gumff that comes as standard. But that applies to other marques as well.

I'm in a position this year to finally retire the HP from its role as "do it all transport". The AT is probably top of the list, just wish it was lighter and less complicated.

We are all stuck with tech these days on new large capacity bikes wether we like it or not. ABS is standard (over 125cc) and traction control is another bit of nanny interference foisted on us by the manufacturers who probably don't think we can handle the power available in many of their offerings (tho' why the AT has it with its paltry 94 bhp I don't know ). Still, for me, the allure of the Honda is it isn't bogged down with too much crap. As for the weight, it doesn't feel anything like the figures suggest, even pushing it around the garage.

I'm a 'dyed in the wool' KTM owner, and I am really enjoying my new AT, manual, it fills the gap that KTM ignored so hell mend them. The weather up here is fabulous, we're showing 16 deg (C) that is, and all is well.

I think it proves the buying public don't see a problem, the waiting time for the manual version is 4 weeks at the most, or so the salesman said.

Hi All

Just by way of an update, the bike is still with the dealer (been a week now). They are working with Honda and the factory analysing data from the bike. Both Honda and the dealer are speaking to me daily. I have a loan machine from them

The left switchgear has been replaced due to water ingress, the original sent back to Honda and after a 50 mile road test the problem can't be replicated

For clarification, the left switchgear issue was the SET button getting stuck in (as is happening with many others) rendering it useless, followed by a loss of functionality of the down SELECT button.........NOTE this is not the down SHIFT button, but the button that moves scrolls through the data within the selected segment on the dash

The incident was not throttle related, it was the DCT gearbox selecting a neutral followed by an aggressive clutch release in 1st gear

I'm having my left switchgear replaced also. My SET button was also sticking, but I squirted some silicone into it and it's fine now, but the dealer received the new one today and will swop it come first service.
