Ok peeps, ive now resolved the problem, and although it pains me to admit it it was entirely my fault

..........yes its entirely MY fault just in case you didnt get the first admittance of complete and utter knobbery

. Although it has to be said in my defence im a fuckwit of the highest order for not realising my mistake when it occured. While tidying the auxilliary wiring up by adding a Centech fuse panel, i had occasion to remove the Earth wire for the PCV from the battery.........with me so far ? Keep up at the back because this is relevant. Well i fitted the panel and reconnected everything up and left it like that. Upon returning two days later the battery was flat and i mean flat (4.5v ) and obviously the bike wouldnt start. So scratches head and cant see anything wrong.....

feck me battery must be fooked.......orders new battery (no bob i dont want the one back from you that i sold you lol) Charges up the battery with my CTEK and tries to start said beast.......cough and splutter but no start

knows whats wrong with it. So i hook up my laptop and plugs in my GS911 and up comes the faults as above the only one concerning me is the first one as im not quite sure about how to resolve that if i end up having to. Bike still wont start, decides to change the plugs (still on originals now 6.6k) and remove the O2 sensors as they are now as much use as an ashtray on my mighty steed. Fit new IU24 Iridium plugs.......and yes they are 1 temp range hotter than stock but cheaper to buy.The primary plugs were bone dry but the secondary ones are soaked in petrol...ahh i says to myself, maybe that happened when i did the TPS reset and thats my problem.BTW the bmw plug socket doesnt fit the new plugs, but my 16mm long reach one does, so on i plod still wondering why the dammed thing wont start.

So i say to myself this morning i need to bite the bullet and try the thing again..........turns over a liitle offer to start then nowt

christ whats wrong with it ? as i stamp my slipper clad right foot in temper.

. Switch off ignition and then hear a strange sound like a relay clicking on and off, what the feck is that i havent a clue never heard theat before

. So i isolate the noise down the the injectors, they appear to be clicking away good style and the red and green light on the PCV is doing its best impression of a seventies disco. What the hell is going on here ffs, think i will disconnect it and see what happens ( damm it that means i will have to re-fit said O2 sensors again bugger !!). Now this is where i finally discover MY mistake...............wait for it ......wait for it...........are you all excited ? no i didnt think you would be

. believe it or not, and this is what marks me out a total and utter useless cnut of the highest order...........i had fitted the earth wire of the PCV, remember that one ?? to the LIVE side of the battery instead of the - !! Fuck me i said quietly to myself how did you manage that

. So to cut this saga down a bit i fitted it where it should have been and with one touch of the starter my mighty steed fires up and makes me almost dance a jig around my tiny shed. I can only assume the PCV is polarity protected and fitting the earth wire to the live caused the battery to go flat and didnt cause a shower sparks and melted 90th Anniversary plastic, im just glad that it appears no permanant damage has been done because of my stupid mistake. Ohh and i now have a new Motobatt winging its way to me as a standby in case ive fooked this one now by flattening it. Moral of the story............do it feckin right in the first place.
