Got a text to say my new headers were in and to phone to get them fitted. No reply on the phone so went in and they took the bike and gave me a curtousy bike so they could replace the squeaky exhaust flap. Just got a call to say it's ready so just a heads up they are open on skeleton staff and taking bikes in for none urgent work in Aberdeen anyway.
 
Hi GBH,

Can I ask if your headers were replaced under warranty? If not and you have the old ones would you sell them as I need to replace the ones on my 17 plate.

Hi Tony,

Replaced under warranty I'm afraid plus it's a 1250. It's only my second GS and they have both had new headers fitted after reporting the squeaky exhaust valve both less than 1 year old. I'm keeping this 1 for 3 years so I'll see how many replacements it needs
 
Im desperate for my first service to be done, anyone know who is open in the northwest?

Bmw demo bikes are usually serviced at 1000-1200 miles, so that is just a sensible approach

My dealer said an extra couple of hundred miles would be OK, but they are nearly 100 miles away to begin with and I think I'd like something in writing for warranty peace of mind

I was speaking with Bowker a while back. They said they had skeleton staff ...but they haven't responded to my email regards mail-order parts. Suspect you may have to persevere on the phone...

As far as I know Bowkers have had bikes in for service same with Willaims Manchester , they could possibly have been bikes for essential workers. My Friend booked his bike in for next tuesday at Bowkers 12,000 miles service GSA ,has far as I know that is still standing ,so Its a case of emailing or calling then and getting it sorted. All dealers will want business now
 
Vines are definitely closed until 18th May at the earliest, so I am told.
 
Dick Lovett Motorrad, Bristol have said that they might open 11/12th May. I emailed enquiring about something and thats the reply I got.
