Has anybody else in Britain ordered a lowered suspension

Is it just me ?? Because I think I'm well within my rights to be pissed off about now:mad:
I e-mailed oceans to tell them I've got a week left to come home any news or an update etc.

You guys that had order,s tracking etc , What length of time did you wait between?
I've got no order number nothing , all I've been told is the yellow button is still on the order thing. Meaning I can still change my order. Once the red button comes on , I can't change it:blast:blast:mad::anger::anger:
Is the order number a secret one saying short arse don't worry about it.:blast
How about fookin ram it:blast:anger:
I am feeling if I do this as I said before its just cutting my nose off to spite my face
Or how about cancelling the lowered and just putting a low seat on and ordering one of these?
They have had a Fkn 6k deposit since Fkn sept. How serious did they think I was.
Is it just me ? And do I need to man up and dry dry my eyes?
Or am I being bent over here
Advice and ridicule expected.
Even if I do say ram it and buy some where else being in Cornwall it's a Fkn long way to go for a service to the next BMW.

6k deposit since September...why ?

I was told last week that if I wished to place an order I would need to put down a 1k deposit,my reply was that if I did place an order the max deposit I would be prepared to leave was £200,Their reply was I'm sorry we would not be able to place your order without a 1k deposit, I said "fine" we'll leave it then and exited the showroom.

They've already rung twice to say £200 would be OK.

Told them it's unlikely if I do change that they will get my business.

That was my choice mate it was the trade in price for my last one and knew if I stuck it in my account I would spend it on the house, so it was my way off saving up for the new one. And letting them know I was serious.:flag

Steve, I'm not trying to wind you up mate but I picked up my TE this morning at Ocean. My take on this is that Richard/Ian at Ocean can only take what they're delivered from the factory, which does seem to be 'shelling TEs like peas' and non standard bikes i.e. lowered with the elusive spoked wheels like yours are taking much longer to say the least.
I don't know if anyone with that combination has had their bike yet.
You're right about the coloured buttons on the production screen, when it's red the spec is fixed, but by then it won't be too long then before you get it anyhow.
I don't have a feel for whether Crampie has any influence on the factory on this delivery subject. Why not give him a call.
Stick with Ocean though, they're on the receiving end of this like you.
I also px'd my bike and handed over my px bike at the time of order so that I could set the px value at that time, which was ok with me and fortunately the weather has been so bleeding cold I didn't miss not having a bike.
Hang in there.

Display bikes...... WTF... Someone's paying Vines too much if they can have "display bikes"....!!!!!!:augie

According to the salesman, BMW say that every dealer has to have a demo bike, and at least one in the showroom. Any dealers selling showroom stock will feel the wrath of the fatherland:rob:D:D

How tall are you Steve? The LC is narrower than the TC GS, so a normal bike with a low seat may be fine:thumb

5.7" I struggled with the normal size GS ,low seat and had no chance getting a purchase if it was on a slight camber, and always felt more comfortable with minimum both balls of my feet on the ground, and dropped it a few times even then,:thumb
Well if I get home and take one out Wednesday with a low seat and can handle it and the so called yellow button is still on. The lowered one will get cancelled there n then

Stevie, I ordered a lowered model in white on the 5th Feb with a delivery expected date of second week in April, on Feb 28th I got a call to say the bike had been delivered early and did I want it prepping for launch day. Work commitments meant I had to defer pick up. But go figure on the build schedules???

I called in yesterday to arrange things and got to sit on my bike, I have a 28" inside leg and with the supplied lowered seat I can touch the floor with the balls of both feet and a full flat foot easily down with the other on the brake "Perfect" for me, the full height bike even with lowered seat is a stretch too far for this short arse.

Just hoping the Weather brightens up next week :) for a pick up.

I don't disagree with you, just hope BMW are giving the dealers decent credit terms on these show bikes, if this is the case. Otherwise we're all paying for the privilege ..

Would have expected at this stage both would have wanted some turnover of bikes.

Delivered yesterday and collecting on Tuesday - :JB

The Belfast dealer had the demo on the showroom floor yesterday (bogging) and hasn't had a new bike on the floor for at least a week.

Better late than never

Well should have arrived on 11th March, still most of the accessories still to come but at least the bikes here!
