diagnostic plug pins

does anyone know which pins do what on the 1150gs diagnostic plug if they do i Will try and make a patch cable to fit the cheap (£15) obd1 an 2 readout tools from china then post how to do it ,, why do we have to spend £150 for a bike one when a car one is the same exept for the plug

Even you you sort the K and L lines, I doubt whether the data will be in any kind of easily interpreted OBD protocol. EOBD didn't come in on petrol cars before 2000 and diesels were about 5 years behind. Not sure that motorcycles ever followed suit.

Don't sell yourself short - I'm sure they'll be a long queue of people all wanting to buy a gizmo from a bloke on the internet who's asking if anyone knows which wire does what as he wants to make a wheeze gadget that reads stuff.

There are five different ODBII protocols. I think it's the J-1850 protocol so you need a fault code reader that supports this.
