Let me tell you about old Dick Lovett. I paid last year for a 3 service package. I phoned in January to book the gs in for a service in April, the girl on phone said there is no need to book now as it's not busy and to phone nearer the date I need it. I phoned in Feb they said they can fit me in July, but phone and check for a cancellation. I have phoned a few times, most recent last Monday 5th May, the woman I spoke to took my details, I explained that I have gone past my service mileage of 12k and off to the tt soon. How am I fixed as to warranty and is there any cancellations. She said, I will get back to you, what is your tel number and email. Nothing.... I have emailed them...... nothing. I then get an automated email off them saying my service is due. I am very disappointed with their customer service, and can not recommend them.
 
Was speaking to service bods at local BMW dealer on Friday as long as you do not go over 13,000 for the 12,000 mile service you should be okay

Past 13k already and got a trip to the tt before the service. I am sorry I took out a 3 service package with them.

Ask to speak to the dealer principal and complain ,then get in touch with BMW Customer Service Dept, they take a dim view of dealers dropping the ball .

They must be rammed with phone calls about vertu then. They have seriously gone downhill
 
Poor quality Must be a thing with Vertu. Apparently they have a Honda bike dealership in the north east. It’s that bad folk are travelling down here for servicing and repair.

When i bought a package it could be used at ANY BMW dealer not specifically the one i bought it at.
 
I have a service package on my R1300GS and it can be used at any BMW dealer in the country 👍
That is with a brand new bike I suppose. I just bought a 3 service package off Dick. But I will check with them

Go in and you tend to get ignored even when trying to get someones attention. Each time I go in seems more and more clicky - if your known then its mate, mate, mate etc. If you email you get no reply, when ever I phone I get the car team who will get someone to call you back (eventually).

I don't wish to disappoint you, but they never called me back either. I phone Motorad uk to ask what I should do as last time was trying to sort a recall issue. I get a call a couple of days later from DL with someone who was then shall we say not overly friendly on the phone. What a way to run a business!!

Phoned 2 BMW service centres this morning, Cheltenham and Shrewsbury, Both phoned me back, both very helpful and now booked in with Cheltenham. Cancelled Dick Lovett. I will hopefully never have to deal with them again. Customer Service is shite.
 
If a Dick's pln rather than Motorrad backed then ask for a refund and go elsewhere.
Most service plans allow a refund, less the cost of services already used.
If you bought it last year and the bike has not been serviced under the plan you may well get a return of what you have paid less an admin fee.

Bought the service package last year, had the 6000 service with them. No issues and the guys I met at the shop were helpful. My issue is when I phone them they are most unhelpful, promise to get back to me but don't, and 1 woman in particular is quite rude on the phone. Fair play 1 guy on here said I could use the service package in another Motorrad dealer. I was not convinced, but he was right. I cancelled my service in Dick Lovett in Bristol and booked in with Cheltenham BMW. Can not get the service done any earlier than Dicks, but the guy on the phone was pleasant and helpful and gave me answers to my questions of being over my 12k mileage for the service. Was prepared to go to Shrewsbury BMW if they could fit me in before the TT but no luck. They were also very helpful on the phone, even said call in on the way back from the tt for a coffee. What is it with the women on the phone at Dicks ? They remind me of Dr receptionists with the attitude.

Having dealt with 4 BMW dealers over the years, Cotswold is by far the best. I was lucky to live just 2 miles from them for most of the time I owned my R1200RS. Rob, now service manager, has been there for many years.
After moving home, I also used Sytner (was Rybrook) in Shrewsbury last year for a service and shaft drive replacement under the service bulletin. Matt on the service desk knew his stuff re. the shaft replacement when booking in and the service was completed satisfactorily. The only problem with Sytner is that it is a satellite of the larger branch in Wolverhampton so a small operation with just two technicians.

I've used Cotswold since Blade at Rednall threw in the towel after recommendations on here and I'm glad I did as both sales and service have been very good. I did have an issue with a warranty claim on my last GS but the dealer principle got involved, took the time to ring me up personally and it was sorted 👍
