No don't click the back arrow lol.....
I have used the castrol 75W-140 oil in both diff and gearbox.. Surprisingly the gear changes are slightly better....
The other day I was on both the Millers and the Castrol website and I noticed that they do that viscosity in a "limited slip" version (which I think is what I used)..
What's the difference for our use on the BM?
I also noticed Millers use "nano technology" in theirs.. ooh errr is that something we must have or is it more hocus pocus ??

What is this "diff" of which you speak.... :nenau

The Limited Slip oil is formulated so that it works with the clutch packs in some limited slip differentials However, that's not applicable here since you don't have a differential on your bike.

As for Nano Technology, this is what Miller's have to say about it....

"Nanotechnology is rooted in a 60 atom sphere called a "Buckey Ball" that looks like a soccer ball at the amotic level. With conventional lubricant, tiny microscopic asperities on the metal's surface slide against each other and break apart. These asperities can be protected by nanoparticles, which act like billions of ball bearings to fill the gaps and make a more uniform surface on the atomic level. The nanoparticles in the Millers Oils are inorganic fullerenes that have multiple layers of nested spheres, and are less than 1/10th of a micron in size (0.000004"). These particles are to a soccer ball as the soccer ball is to the Earth in terms of scale. The nested spheres resemble onion layers, which can exfoliate under extreme pressure and form a protective tribofilm on the metal surfaces. Due to the tremendous surface area, the nanospheres will migrate to and "stick" to the walls of lubricated components."

Simplest thing

As Long as it is GL5 spec it will be fine Not a GL4 or a GL4/GL5 mix

LS is a slightly better quality

You have done well young Padowan :aidan

I've been using normal Castrol 75/90 GL5 in my rear diff on the Super Tenere

I've just had a look and I have two full bottles of Castrol Syntrax GL5 , both Limited Slip , one 75/90 and one 75/140

I'd imagine by the guidance either will do the job at least as well as the non LS stuff ?

I use Scott's porridge in mine. Nice and quiet - much better than Oats So Simple - I think the fruit pieces interfered with the gear mesh.

Bevel drive; final drive; even crown wheel and pinion but not a chain and not a diff (limited slip or otherwise)

Indeed so and we may have made progress until the next wave of anti-intellectual recidivism and the resounding cry of "Pedant..!" from those who don't have the precision to be precise.
