I spent a long time on a post just now in the B&B, I opened another page to go to UKGSer to check something so as not to lose what I had written, but now I am gutted that my original post on the new thread will not come up again on the original page. I'm writing this on my iPad, which may or may not e relevant, when I go back it's just a blank screen. Is there any way I can dig it out again from the depths of cyberspace? Please?

EDIT: all this happened before I pressed the send button to finally post it.

Keep hitting the "back" button on your browser - it may still be there.

No, tried that.:( starting again now, but the fecking keyboard on the iPad has shrunk into two halves- don't suppose you can tell me how to restore it, can you? Doing my head in. Long story, all shall be revealed if I manage to write the poxy thread.

Several threads on problems with iPad and getting booted out while posting. If you switch apps this could happen and blank your post without realising it. The bad news is its GONE ;-(. *I have resorted to writing in Notes and then cutting and pasting to the forum just in case.

Ignore: job done. Pinched the screen and brought the two halves back together, sort of. Had tried that before, but it sems you have to pinch them precisely horizontally or else it won't work. Just thought I'd mention it.:thumb2

Thank you for that, appreciated. My post has disappeared three times by now, A happy bunny? NO!

Cheers.

It's easy to lose what you have typed when switching to another app or another page within the browser, etc. even on a normal PC/Laptop. If I write a long thread or eMail and want to look at something else, I try to remember to copy it temporarily to NotePad/Word/OneNote or whatever text programme you have available - just in case.

It's particularly annoying if you have a bunch of researched info typed in the thread and then have to go through the whole process all over again.
