My headlamp bulb blew a couple of days ago after only 5,300 miles, I had to unscrew the back of the headlamp, remove the old lamp and put in a new one - should I reject the bike?

You should have ridden the bike home and immediately covered it in lard. It would prevent corrosion, oxidisation and harmful UV damage

Tell me about it, I took it out on Tuesday night and put it away dirty. I'll give it a once over tonight but I'm worried it will end up like this:

Absolutely and tell them you are a member of an influential forum and nothing less than a replacement bike will suffice

I've just asked for a slot from these guys. Since it's so new going to treat it from the outset and resort to DIY ACF50 in a couple of years.

I noticed on all the bango's there is a plastic sheath covering the alloy part and they hold moisture if ridden in the wet or washed and mine to was corroding. So I cut the plastic off and polished em up with a bit of autosol.

Mine has one on the brake line, but not the clutch.
