Ok so I'm now in need of a rear disc and pads all round,I've done a quick search round but what do you guys recommend, best prices and which manufactor and from where?
Cheers in advance,Dave.

I usually get EBCs for my 1100. Not sure of the compound, but it aint the fancy race type stuff. I tried BMW paqds the first time I changed; good, but didn't half wear fast, about 3k miles and they were scoring the disc. Went to EBC then as I'd used them on the Fudge, and got around 12k.

Got a new Cast Iron disc from Motorworks. OK, I could feel it was better than original. Cost about seventy quid four years back.

But check with Steptoe first, I believe he does some good ones about the same price. I think I'll be trying him next.

I have just put EBC discs on mine but only because I got them very cheap. They have only been on it for a week and already have rust on them. Its not a problem if you ride every day but if you leave it for a while when you move it you will see rust where the pads were and it can cause judder.
If I have the money I would buy BMW discs or try Steptoes

Carbone lorraine pads are my favourite

BuMW discs rust aswell:augie

Motorworks do a disk made by PFM, IOM based, who specialise in racing and all type of discs.

Steptoe or slimbo, do pads, steptoe also does discs, they dont sell cheap tat, just good quality at a cheap price, avoid the cheap brands, they will mean your new discs dont last very long :augie

I had Motobins Grimeca discs on my 1100RT nicey made in S/S, around £65 + vat each, quick delivery.

I also put OE Textar pads on from Motobins because of problems in the past with copy parts. The EBC pads didn't have anti rattle clips (so rattled like a bas**ard) and Ferodo pads that squealed (like a bas**ard) during low speed braking :blast

EBC disc and pads

I put an EBC disc and pads on my 1100GS which lives outside no rust on the disc so far BUT the pads are a very tight fit onto the pin on the brake caliper so I'd probably go for BM original pads next time because the slightest bit of crud on the pin causes the brake to drag.

Grimeca

I've got the Grimeca ones on mine - wearing well and good value.
