You know that picture that gets posted every single time anyone posts about poor running after removing and refitting the tank?.... Well it took me the entire day yesterday to troubleshoot it. Convinced myself that it was a failed coil pack and spent ages swapping stuff round. Only been riding an 1150 for 14 years:blast:rolleyes:

All fine now:D:thumby:

I have also fallen foul of the curse of the dislodged throttle cable...

I remember the first time I did it on my first ever 1150GS, absolute panic, rode it round to my mate's house as he had an 1100RS hoping he could help me diagnose it, of course it was running like a pig and I was convinced I had fucked my bike up. Two minutes at my mates and it was sorted - what a relief!

Similar for me.
But in my case the cable was fine. It was the rest of the bike that was dislodged.

We've all done it at some point in the dim & distant past... I suppose that's why it's in the HOW section, now ;)

I'll join the club and confess my ineptitude, just the once...:augie

Quite how I've managed to survive without doing it for so long is beyond me. I rode the bike all day on Sunday and it was a pig of a thing to ride - wouldn't idle below 4K RPM which made for an interesting day!!!

It won't catch me out again:rolleyes::thumby:
