Adventure before dementia .....
In San Fransisco and with plenty of time in hand decided to ride over the Golden Gate Bridge so using the map screen I selected a point on the other shore and pressed 'Go' ... the point selected must have been in somebodies back garden or in an office block because the screen just locked and went blank. A number of restarts later and many 'Computing 99% complete' freezes no luck so I'm stuck in downtown SF without a clue which direction to take and my map was no good as I didn't know where I was to start with.
To cut it short I managed to get to within 6 miles of where I'd booked my hotel e.g followed some blokes in a truck to the GGB etc. then the bloody thing restarted itself. It must have been deciding things but took more than two hours to do it ...

Be careful where you select the point to go to !!

The main error here is 'rider error':rob

Sat Nav is nothing more than an aid to navigation, rely on it at your peril cos the law of sod says it will let you down at the most inopertune moment.

I've had to learn this lesson several times the hard way:blast

That said I've had some great adventures letting the sat nav get me lost
