This morning, Chris and I went to see a local attraction.
Coming back from yesterday’s jaunt to Sankt Goar, we stopped for a drink and a bit of lunch in Mörsdforf. While there, someone found a brochure, advertising the Geierlay, suspension footbridge, which crosses 360 metres from one side of a valley to another.

Umpteen bods (including myself) have been to Cochem and the surrounding area, umpteen times. I can’t ever remember seeing even a mention of it. Worth a detour, as Michelin say:

Public holiday today in many European countries, religious.A straight ride from Stuttgart to Cochem today. No Autobahns. Though I did see 200 kph for a moment.
Stopped at Jim Clark’s memorial hiding round the back of Hockenheim. What a talent.
Boy is it hot out there. And Germany’s on holiday for some reason. Shops shut. Traffic low. Odd crowds in wee towns.
I’m cooling down in the traditional way.
Where will the reprobates be found this evening?

I call A.I. has breathed on that photo. If you look closely the bloke with the red hat and whiskers has got a hand for a knob!
Nicely parked up in the shade.
That's Iain, it could be real. Pioneering cosmetic surgery so he can hold three glasses of wine at the same time.I call A.I. has breathed on that photo. If you look closely the bloke with the red hat and whiskers has got a hand for a knob!
