Doc does Cochem 2025 with special (needs) ukgser guests

I did once take a taxi ride at Nurburgring. Probably the best joy ride I’ve ever had.

I was surprised the driver was an English chap. Said the V8 Jag had 20,000 Euros worth of brakes added.

Nobody overtook us.

Project 8 Jag. Same as Harry Metcalfe has, his is purple though.

I took my my 911 round, years ago. After one enthusiastic lap I stopped in the finished area for a chat. Got back in the car to go again. No brakes. They took a couple of hours to cool down.
You can tell how long ago it was, because the "ring" lap used to start with a lap if the GP circuit.
You had a 911!!!!
You kept that quiet John.
p.s. goes well with the 2CV you had!

Ready (almost) for my ferry on Monday night from Hull to Rotterdam. My first time on this one, but DFDS on my usual North Shields - Ijmuiden route wanted £300 more for the same days.

Bike MOT’d yesterday. Oil and filters changed. All pads out and checked ok.

Not looking for an Autobahn record - that was in 2015. I’ve got too much imagination about panniers dismounting at 130 😀

Got a few stops along the way, including Porsche and Audi museums. Grossglockner. Timmelsjoch, with the MC museum. Lots of scenery.

I’ll arrive in Stumbergers on 19th for 3 nights.

No kilt here either. Not sure about a flowery shirt either.

I like a cool beer or 2. (I’ll pass on the Irish Pub)

Pete

My most humble apologies. Yes, it should have read "I've".
I'm now going out to one of my pole sheds to whip myself sore!:cool::cool::cool:

I live near the Kelpies.

Itching to get this show on the road. Hoping for a dry ride to Hull tomorrow.

My advice for the ferry John. Take your own tie downs as I find the ones they provide are shite.
Also you have to do it yourself.
Also make sure you watch the band they put on. It's like being at a show in Las Vegas.

I’m heading down the A697 then down A1 etc.

couldn’t face pounding the M74, M6, A66. Especially if wind and rain appears.
I’m pretty sure the pikies are having their annual “ event “ at Appleby this week so best avoid the A66 altogether.
Yep, just looked, 5th to the 11th of June.

That's my bike all loaded ready to go ( including Hawaiian shirt and custom painted waistcoat - just for Doc).
Now to monitor the weather for departure date of my choice (Wednesday, if dry, with a stopover at Bonnyrigg or Thursday and a 400 mile haul to middle England)!!!!
Decisions, decisions! :cool::cool::cool::cool:
