La Rochelle is lovely . But it’ll be busy on a Sunday.
We’ll be just across the water in île de Re by about 1400.
But I think I would have pottered up and down the Loire/Vienne to the likes of Chinon and Angers rather than a 250 mile day out to the coast !
Or go a tad further SE and take Jayne to Chenonceau

@Doc, La Rochelle is very nice, but I have to agree with Arsey, that it will more than likely to be mobbed.
And I find the traffic system a bit poxy.
Aye, but there is no point telling the man, as he's probably set off on his merry way, before anybody could've had a chance to give him their 2 pence worth of advice.
