Whenever I go to France never rely on anything electronic when it comes to security. Chain to something that doesn’t move or park bike in view when having lunch. Too many black small boat jockeys for me!!

The boys on our recent Germany/Austria we’re locking their bikes in the most out of the way places. I guess people get conditioned to theft living in the UK, but those that don’t aren’t quite so twitchy about such stuff.

I have used my disc lock whilst away. To say thefts don't happen is bollocks I would say.

When I dug out the small backyard of my terraced house in Bethnal Green, E2 the ground was a mass of old oyster shells. Partial to a bit of shellfish, the East End.
