Driveshaft Splines

My 1100GS is now coming up 10 years old but has only done 40000 miles without a single fault. I was considering removing the swing arm and bevel box to re-grease the splines, is it worth doing this or would it be better to observe the "if it aint broke don't fix it" rule?
Any advice would be appreciated.
 
Mine has 50k of hard use on it and its never been stripped. Probably wont unless I get a problem that means having to remove it.
 
Do you do a fair bit of off-road mileage?.
If yes,then a strip down,clean and lube isn't a bad idea.
If no,don't bugger about with it until you have to do something like a clutch change,paralever bearings or final drive big bearing.
