Well, while we're talking about Pikes Peak and Ducati's, probably worth reposting this (shot entirely on an iPhone 4):

Are you having a laugh?
So this

I have to say I do like the look of the Pikes peak MS. I'm pretty sure I would really like the MS if a rode one, which is why I'm staying away from a test ride. I can't afford to swap, plus I'd be too tempted to ride too fast :blast

Not that different in looks, very similiar designs in many respects, and I believe that was what Ducati intended

Guess we all see things differently. To me though saying you can't see any difference between a GS and MS is like saying you can't see any difference between a Mondeo and a 3 series Beemer :augie

I have never been tempted by a Duke over the years as much to do with the lack of an adventure style bike as the reliability and the cost (purchase and maint)

this one looks interesting though and they are trying to make ownership cheaper with extended services etc, still costly to buy mind, and not as easy to home service as a GS

theres also other good non Jap competition now like Aprilia and KTM if you love the twin cyl bikes, the KTM SMT is getting very good reviews this year with revised suspension and fuelling

for now I am happy on my 2nd GS, but having had a KTM, I maybe tempted again to something non BM at some point!
