Can anyone comment on my power demands on my GSA?

At the moment I running with heated grips, driving lights. Powerlet heated jacket and TomTom sat nav charger, should I expect a flat battery at the end of a 100 mile ride or can the alternator cope with this sort of demand? Are my expectations unreasonable?

I have a new Motonatt fitted

Cheers

Should cope with this perfectly well. I have all those plus a couple more and no problems even on shorter runs.

Its a 600 watt alternator so unless everything is on full power with the engine idling in traffic its likely to be no problem at all.

If in doubt fit a volt meter.

Mine shows a constant 13.8 to 14 volts dropping to 12.5 when engine is off with no significant load. Connected to the canbus accessory wire it should give the system voltage. Connected to a headlamp power wire will show a lower voltage due to the volts drop caused by the wiring to the headlight.

Sat nav draws less than 2 amps. Heated jackets draw less then 5 amps. If your riding lights are 55w halogens then they will draw 9.1 amps. Heated grips draw less than 5 amps too.

I'm not an expert but a id be very surprised if a satnav used anywhere near 2 amps. .2 more like?
