I have just bought me a Bluesea 5025 so I can add various extras, sat nav, heated vest, gloves etc etc without having loads of wires coming from the battery
and rather than connect it direct to the battery so its live all the time I want to connect it via a relay so its only live when the key is turned in the ignition. I know the bikes wiring is sensitive so dont want to go connecting to something and compromising something. I would normally connect a relay like this to the tail light but have read that this can sometimes confuse the system into thinking it has a tail light out. (obviously the bluesea 5025 is connected to the battery but the current is controlled by the relay)
Any suggestions where best to connect the relay to? it doesnt need to be a large wire as the relay need only a small amount of current to make the circuit.
