Engine cutting out - 2010 F650GS

Hi,
I know that the early bikes had problems with the engine cutting out for no apparent reason but I own a 2010 model F650GS with 450 miles on the clock and today the engine cut out as I was changing from 2nd gear to 1st gear in slow moving traffic. There was no juddering or anything - it was just as if someone had hit the kill switch. It started again on the button after the engine turned over a couple of times but it worried me a bit.

Has anyone else with a 2010 model bike had a similar problem?

Any ideas what the fix is for this problem?

This used to be a massive problem when I had an early F650GS twin. I believe it's due to the lean fuel maps and I think it's fair to say the revised maps have sorted most, but not all of the instances.

Since getting a 2009 model it's happened several times, the first was when I only had 100 miles on the clock and I dropped the bike right in front of a tipper truck. Talk to your dealer about the issue.
