Engine oil leak through front cover

Hi guys,
Since I purchased my 05 GS1200, I have noticed a small trickle of oil coming down from behind the front black panel. I have removed this panel to find that at the top right hand of the metal crank cover, where there is indented square moulding, the silver paint has a small blister, and if i press it, oil squirts out. I believe it may be a fault with the metal ie pourous.
I know that BMW had problems with the paint work but has anyone any ideas how to resolve this before i attempt to approach the BMW dealer?

Back to the dealer job IMO

I'd try and approach them to ask if they would try and get a 'goodwill' offer from the manufacturers, AFAIK if you attempt a repair yourself there is little chance of getting any goodwill
