Engine. Oil

Just in case you really want to know, as the engine and gearbox share the same oil, then 5w40 semi but preferably fully synthetic.

C’mon guys we have not had an oil thread for a while, I’ve just bought some from M & P, it came in a box!

It seems that Silkolene have perfected the skill of packing oil in a box rather than a plastic can, impressive and I am sure will set the bar for other oil suppliers.

Probably 3 in 1

You asked for the best.
Well 3 in 1 in a 100ml drip can is a highly refined vegetable oil. It is ubdoubedly the best oil there is.
Around £150 should fill the bike, but being so thin, expect very high consumption levels, and you will probably to have to put in another litre every time you take the bike out.

:blast, you fool, it comes corked, you have to let it breathe for 24hrs once you remove the cork

It's proppa stuff, not the cheap shite, that comes ina platsic bottle
So if I buy some today, can I use it as soon as it comes or should I lay it down for a few years? Will it’s character and viscosity improve with age?
