Castrol Power 1 15W 50W
for my R1200RS, that blew over in the Dec storm, cracking the rocker cover and spewing oil over my drive, I bought this. I was surprised it took 3 litres to top up, but the bike was on its side for a while until the storm subsided.

A German company. All of £22.20 for 5 litres. As long as the bike makes it 53 miles up to A&D next week, it will have been a bargain.

So by the looks of it i will stick with using BMW Motorrad Genuine 5w40 Advantec. 4ltrs £45 posted.

It might be placebo effect but I thought it quietened the motor a bit on my 1200 so I preferred it to the BMW stuff
Used to use the stuff below when I had an R1200RT. Mainly because the local motor factors didn't charge too much for it. If you can get oil that meets the specs from a CAR motor factor who does oils suitable for motorcycles or deals in brands that do motorcycle oils, it tends to be much cheaper from them than a bike shop, as they apply the same discounts that stops local mechanics from going to GSF or Eurocarparts.

I've brought the Motul 7100 Fully Synthetic 5W40.
SportsBikeShop are doing 4ltrs for £45.30 which is the same prices as the BMW oil.
