Running the new bike in and the engine management light has started flashing with a warning triangle too. Book says it's in limp mode, but I can't tell any difference?! Any ideas?!
Obviously taking to Dealers tomorrow...

A bod on a Wander had the amber engine warning light come on, several times over two days, on his new WC GSA.

Then it went out and all was well.

He also had the oil light flashing another time. The oil was fine, too.

Cheers Wapping, any ideas as to the causes? Has your friend had any feedback from the dealer?

You having some bad luck with these bikes ! If it misfires on shitty fuel it will bring that light up, the new canbus is very clever even a bit of water in the fuel would cause a misfire than the canbus sensors it and flashes the light up, i was able to replicate this and it brought the light up easily, however tuning the bike on/off turned the light out once i rectified the issue.

Luck? What's that?
I'll get the bike collected tomorrow (currently on nights so I'll be in bed!) and ask them to return it when it's sorted.
It's still on and flashing and running in a reduced power mode.
I had filled up on shell v power pimp juice about 30 miles prior to the incident!

Other than that it's been bloody brill!

Yes i had that....it was the crank shaft sensor wasn't pushed in so it clicked properly....bike felt normal all the time though.

My lady lives in a block of flats with an underground carpark, accessible by a 12-degree downward ramp.
While waiting for the access gate to open, I'm usually in neutral, with the engine running. Within ten seconds of stopping, I get the low oil-level warning, in spite of the fact that the bike's sump is actually slightly over-full (about 3mm above the upper edge of the red circle on the sight glass).

Neither of my '09 GSAs or my '10 GSA did this.

Fixed.

It was a defective temperature sensor for the engine.

All working now with full power.

I know nothing about the older bikes, but on the LC the oil pressure switch is towards the rear, near the starter motor. If you're facing downhill I imagine it could flow far enough from the float to register low?
