Winters of skiing and summer riding around the Alps :aidan

feck this country... dog eat dog. Wait until the tax bill comes in for all the spending the government has been doing this year. Labour wont raise the tax take because there is an ellection next year but the next government will have to in order to recoup all the debt. Otherwise UK PLC is bust.

Time to leave folks... while you still can :rob

Plenty a sun down this way although it has cooled off a tad this last day or so,still in the 30´s tho and should be throughout Sept. Took my steed out this aft into the hills and hardly met any traffic for mile after mile. A bottle of water and a sandwich in a cool bag.....fantastic :)

let me know if you decide to go,could meet up.

Oh Dear not the place to go!

Hate to disappoint you guys but the Picos are also known as the Costa Verde or Green Coast, why? Because it rains most of the time! Has a climate like the NW of England due to the influence of the Gulf Stream and the Bay of Biscay. Late Sept onwards is notorious in Spain for rain especially in the North and East. If warm you want, then you need to go South! Trust me I am a meteorologist!(weather not horoscopes!)
Have a look at the Monday forecast on Countryfile, if it shows rain in SW England then it will be rather wet in the Picos.

It was a red hot summer... On the continent :D

Wishing for a hot summer in the North West of England is like wishing for Icebergs in the Sahara. i.e it's not going to happen anytime soon.

It rains in Western Spain,
It rains more in Northern Spain,
But it rains the most in North Western Spain.

The warm moist air from the Atlantic blows in over high ground, condenses and pisses down all day, week, month.
The lush green countryside is testament to a healthy watering! (stick some shopping bags in yer boots!
