Noticed my speedo was reading about half actual speed today (against GPS). Stopped bike, ignition off and on again and it was OK for a while.

Few miles down the road again and it was all over the place, one minute it was spot on, then it would be 5 - 10mph less, sometimes it was about 40mph out.

The odometer is not affected, it's spot on against the GPS.

Searched the forums but not found anything about this. Anyone else had problems with their speedo?

Had this problem ±2 months ago. The dealer replaced the whole dashboard on warranty. The problem has not returned. It is one piece and cost almost 675 euros here in Belgium.

Looks like you will be getting a new speedometer soon. Mine crapped out after about 600 miles. The dealer replaced the whole instrument cluster. The bike has about 3,000 miles now and the speedometer problem has not come back.

Mine occasionally does odd things after I've washed it. As the rev's rise the tacho' moves like the second hand on a machanical watch then, as it dries out it, works normally. Apparently, the there isn't a watertight seal on the unit which seems odd.

Mine did eactly the same and has also been changed under warranty.

The only problem is that they can't set the mileage to match that of the original unit, so they stamped my service manual to confirm the work done.
