I have a Garmin etrex that I will be taking to the South of France this week to use mountain biking. Question is, will it set itself automatically or will I have to do it manually. Can't seem to find the user manual.

It might ask you to confirm the date and if you've moved a long way from where you last used it, but it should set itself.
