Anyone looking for a reasonable deal for Dover/Calais might try the Shuttle. £64 for a five day return and the cheapest I could find on the ferries, including MCN or Bike related deals was£95

As I posted elsewhere recently, a 5 day return on the shuttle only spans 5 days.

i.e cross on Wednesday evening, you must return by Sunday, on a ferry it means up to 120 hours on the continent!

Also, SeaFrance quoted me £75 for a 5 day trip, still doesn't explain why it's so much cheaper travelling in the opposite direction - it can't possibly be that no-one in Europe wants to visit our overly congested, camera infested roads can it?

Another example of "ripoff Britain".
Or a plot by the government to make it harder for us to escape.
Stinks really.

Eurotunnel Calais/Dover/Calais Euro 71.00 (GBP 46 +/-) :p

This is unusual.

If you logon to Eurotunnel's website in French and claim to be a Frenchie, then the fares are usually much higher across the board than from UK to France.

Recently midweek and after 11am daytrips were £9 (!) from UK but a mate wanted to come to England and was quoted 84€ for the same date/times but starting in France!

It's defo a case of suck it and see!
