Easier to remove valve cables and servo all in one, All that is left then is the connector from the loom that went to the servo, just seal it up and cable tie it out of the way.

What he said, easier than faffing about with cables and leaves a neater finish
 
I left the motor in situ, and just removed the cables and I used some blind rubber bungs where the cables were
 
Just done mine too. £5 for the stainless tube from a local custom exhaust shop. Bit of heat and force, done. Removed the cables and blocked the holes with a pair of old screen mounting rubber well nuts and bolts. They expand behind the hole and so should stay firmly in place.
