Just for info really.
The bike has suffered from the usual (clutch, water pump and rear shock absorber) and the manufacturers warranty expires May 1st so thought I'd better get some form of extended warranty.
Looked very closely at the BMW one and thought it a bit steep at £328 with 100 excess and no breakdown cover. Therefore looked at Warranty Direct and an internet quote came back at £220. That's with no excess, immediate cover for any defect and it also covers wear and tear apart from the obvious such as brake pads. The only down side appears to be an annual £2000 claim limit and a 10,000 mile annual mileage limit.
So temped I even read their T and C's for any get out of jail clauses. Couldn't see any so rang them to discuss and got a phone quote of £199. Therefore gone with them.
Hope I've done the right thing and interested to hear from anyone who has gone the same way and had a good or bad experience.
Many thanks
