I've just had the form through to extend my warranty as my bike is almost 2 years old. What is the general consensus - get it? Anybody had to use it? Good, bad or indifferent?

Just seen someone who admitted to twice over reving their rr (NOT ME) and BMW picked up for both engines under warranty, all he had to pay was labour charges approx £1K each time.
Rather good I'd say.

The bike is now 4 years old and the warranty has climbed every year, which is expected

Not on this bike,
Had a breakdown in Spain on an older gs.
Couldn't fault them , but i had to pay it all while over there, then reimbursed when i got home

Are you related, or just having sex ?I heard that the first owner of your GSA ran it in properly, and looked after it very well

I do wonder how much goodwill would ever come from BMW in the case you have a serious failure in a component that really should not fail after say 5 years? The reality is that if it does and BMW does nothing to help, assuming you don’t have extended warranty, then they’ve probably lost your custom now and in the future. If they were to calculate your propensity to purchase over coming years you are worth a small fortune to them.

......dealers bend over backwards in terms of customer service, something the car dealers are seriously lacking!
