has anyone seen a full test/review for the 700 yet (other than the MCN comparison) cant seem to find one (on Google anyway)

thanks......bit short mind....![]()

not a vastly different machine albeit the changes and as the reviews already mentioned
Well I love mineand I also used to have a 650 twin so I have experience of both. I certainly appreciate the extra disc but I agree that to judge the difference on the road it would be necessary to ride them one after the other, however I really have to defend the front end. The 700 is much sleeker with elegant, predatory lines that give it a far more grown up look. I'm also delighted with the new instrumentation - particularly the indicator and the now stable brake fluid reservoir - and with the tank decal which is loads more prominent than on the 650. And the best, best, best thing (as I'm a little shallow) is that gorgeous matt grey, mmmmm mmmm

I also think you are a bit harsh with your review. I kept my 650 for two months ((1400 miles) but everything I have seen on the 700 appears to have improved. Excluding the cost of replacement of discs and pads twin discs have to be better, always assuming the bike will be mainly used on road. The single switch indicators should have been standard years ago. The looks are better. The brake fluid pot has finished its epileptic fit. The upgrade to comfort seat is a £100 upgrade at time of order. Would I buy a 650 over a 700? Not in a million years!
