yes and thank you for your very valuable contribution you have a very valid point however such is the weight on the two upper brackets that quite a substantial plate IMHO had to be incorporated to spread the load over as many fastening points as possible. With this said I will try to take some more material out of the design however sometimes the cost of expensive laser profiling can exceed the cost of the additional material.

Taking the simple approach further wouldn't a strip of powder coated Aluminium folded back on itself along the long side to form a sort of "V" or "U"with multiple anchor points along one side serve a similar purpose? You could run it along the length of the wall then hang as many panniers on it as the length of Aluminium would allow.

You could run it along the length of the wall then hang as many panniers on it as the length of Aluminium would allow.

Quite possibly however there is still the matter of a push off bracket. And you might be surprised how much weight is located on such a small area to where the pannier hooks fit into - any such bracket could not simply be a folded back on itself affair - it would have to be quite thick and if we would look at supporting Tig welded braces then the price would shoot up quite a bit - a substantially thick angled extrusion might do it then there are the maching costs etc. I`m certainly not one to disregard very good ideas but I can see significant for`s and against`s!

Pal, yes I could make them from stainless steel, Tig weld them and hand finish them so that we could use `underpants & porridge factory explosion` in the same sentance but to be honest i really don`t think it`s necessary.

On the bike, yes fek it, the more it costs (within reason of course) and the better it looks then yeah I`m all for it but as for a pannier frame to fit on the garage wall then I think I will better serve my very loyal customers by producing something to a budget.

I meant the air intake guards to match the rad guards.

Here are the images of mine, guys. There`s a left and a right, each suited to fit the panniers correctly (the exhaust side needs a bigger `push off` if you see what I mean............).

The image of the frame without the pannier fitted is the frame for the exhaust side pannier and the image with the frame with the pannier fitted is, and I bet you can guess.................. is for the pannier without the exhaust cut out!

There`s only 8 frames available (1 left and 1 right) and I`ll do half in black and half in red.

Fair enough I appreciate that I am technically inept, have sausage fingers and am rather accident prone.

This means I tend to read instructions and do things in the exact order it says.

So this is what I have ended up doing this afternoon:

Which is a shame as I then find that I do not have the right bit to remove the BMW bolts anyway, too big for my little tool set.

As you can see I have already strapped my TE exhaust on to the back (I could do with a rack!) and I will be delivering it to CYMARC engineering around 10am tomorrow.

Bloody nice bars though, really pleased with them, although I think they might be better when they are fitted properly..(I have got them right way up at least, I think...)
