FECK !!!!!!!!!!!

Deposit given back to 1200 buyer :tears and bike booked in to barnstompers on the 23/7 and will await there verdict FFS.............
Shit happens......

Been there Ash. Three years ago sold my 1150GS to a guy who came down from Newcastle. He got four miles down the road and the gearbox output shaft let go. Had to recover the bike back to my home and give him his money back. :tears

I still think it's something to do with those micro switches. The fact the brake light is stuck on points to something wrong with them. I don't believe the servo unit has failed in this case. Good luck Ash. :thumb2

I had new discs front and rear along with pads in the week, picked the bike up on wed eve all was fine, thurs morning red flashing light if death and no servo, so minimal brakes on the way to work, they picked it up and the problem was the front brake light switch,
All sorted now with new switch,
I'm not sure if it was stuck on or just failed, but that was the culprit

Sorry can't help, just wanted to wish you well getting it sorted mate.

:(

Slightly OT:
When did you sell the F650GS? or do you still have that, if so how's it going?

Ash, if you have an optimate try topping up the battery charge, ABS system hates low voltage. Probably not the problem but worth a try.

Depending on ABS system could also be low fluid level in Servo pump, faulty brake switches, lever fouling hand guard, build up of wear particles on rear wheel speed sensor, rear brake light lamp/lamp holder fault, low battery voltage or worst case a fecked ABS unit (£££).

Hope it's something simple, I have a GS911 and I'm in Fareham if you need help.

I had a buyer coming to pick up my TDR250 many years ago. So I thought I'd go for one last ride....

1/4 mile down the road, and what do I meet???

A fecking SMIDSY :blast

I 'bought' a Fazer 1000 three years ago from a guy on the mainland. He promised a full mot and on returning the long way home from the garage, he got taken out by, in his words, 'A myopic 80+ year old Scots fucker'. Bike was wrecked, he got off with severe brusing and I got my money back. He should have just gone straight home instead of 'the last ride'.

I have my Versys up for sale at the moment and it's been very tempting to take it out what with all the stunning weather we've been having, but superstition/fear is stopping me.
