Hi all,
Well gone and done it walked away to talk to a mate a few feet away and left the bike (r1200gs) on the side stand with engine running and as i am asking my mate how far we had left to go there was a almighty thump and to my horror my pride and joy is on the floor:eek: I was mortified well a few of us picked up the bike and started looking for the expensive damage that woould need fixing and to every ones amazment there was very little:doh
There was a couple of scratches to the left pannier and the engine guard that I had put on as an extra and I am convinced that it was the plastick guards that saved the bike from more expensive damage and the fact the pannier took some of the force. The only thing that really came of worse was the left indicator broke into several pieces which i managed to reassemble with insulation tape and carry on the trip.
To this end can anyone tell me if I can get replacment indicator housings without having to go to a BMW agent or do I have to bite the bullit and get them from BMW?
The moral of this tale is (yes you have guessed it) don't leave your pride and joy on the side stand with the engine running and walk away! Put it in gear and switch off:rolleyes:
Well that's it for now I am very lucky and feel it could have been worse.

cheers for now djack.
