Sete > Tanger ferry

Anyone ever taken this ferry.

It'd be rather convenient for me, but the prices I'm getting are €1200+ return - surely some mistake.:nenau

You must be taking a truck then ......... :D

Ive paid know where near that when ever iv'e crossed ... :comfort

PS ...... Unless of course thats France to Maroc then i havent and your right and have to pay fortunes for the ferry instead of having a leisurely ride down while eating Haribo on the way ...................

Malaga to Melilla, Morocco ferry.

Anyone been on the ferry from Malaga to Melilla in Morocco ?

Any advice/guidance please.

:beerjug:

I went to Nador.... which is a SH#T HOLE.... If you can get a ferry to Mellila im sure t'would be fine...... heres a pic of the boat you may go on although this one is Almeria to Nador (almeria is a sh#thole too btw)..... Gets very busy in the summer...

My advice, do the short crossing from Algeciras or get there during daylight hours, not at half past bloody two in the morning like we stupid idiots did....:comfort

I did the overnight from Almeria to Melilla which left around sunset. It was ramadan at the time and the passengers got out their food parcels once the sunset and shared the food around.

I enjoyed the ferry though the border crossing the next morning from Melilla to Nador was more extreme than entering via Tanger or Ceuta/Fnediq.

Ferries from Morocco

Just a thought for next year.
I may well go to Morocco (Via Spain)
The query is:
I should like to continue my round Europe trip by taking a ferry from Morocco to Sicily, & home via Italy.
Does anyone know if there is such a ferry, if so, what line, and approximate cost.
This is just a preliminary enquiry for a possible 3 week trip next year.

Another ferry question

Hoping to get to Morocco towards the end of next month and have been looking on the ferry websites to try & get a rough estimate of ferry costs and times of crossings on the Algecieras/ Ceuta routes.
None of the ferry sites I found are listing crossings in June is this normal or does it mean they are booked?

THanks

Baz

It's because, during the month of June, the crossing is choked with mating Ocelots and therefore you can simply ride across their heaving, furry, bodies.

Algecieras/ Tangers last week 53 Euros slow ferry 2 1/2 hours and then Algecieras/ Tarifa back 70 euros fast ferry 35 mins. On both crossings there were several ferries a day. Algecieras/ Tarifa ferry one left every 45 mins. Not the crossings you are looking for but might give you an indication.

Cheers, did you book in advance or just tip up?

Tell the ticket 'fixers' to foxtrot oscar, and ride into the port itself. There are 'official' ticket desks adjacent to the parking area to the boat. Number of different windows / agencies, so worth asking around. We got quotes from 80-110 Euros per person for the quick crossing... just a question of asking at each window...

aye just park up outside the office in span, one of you go in and get sorted at the glass window on the right hand sidE

took me ten minutes, just turned up and was on ferry within the hour.

coming back however, took 8 hours for the ferry to arrive from when it should:D have... camp was set up on the dock and the pots were cooking - the locals looked fascinated by my super noodles and cupasoups!

Thats why it's best not to get a return ticket. Just arrive in ceuta and get a ticket on the next ferry thats departing.

And if you do have a return and your company is delayed by a rediculous amount of time on the return leg get on the next available ferry and when you land in algerciras get a refund on your return ticket from the office you bought your ticket from :thumb
Not many people know that unused tickets are refundable. Another reason not to buy a ticket from the caravans in spain unroute to the port, because they closed most of the time and if it is open will feck you around giving a refund.
