been playing around with firefox as my beloved opera seems to be encountering increasingly more grief from poorly coded web sites.

i have a few queries however...

can i get firefox to open with several tabs already open with sites of my choice running?

what add ons or extensions (WTF they are) should i look at?

why is my cursor flickering in a highly irritating manner as i type this?

i'm sure i'll be back with more later :D

ps. the importing bookmarks feature sucks badly too.

I'm currently running the new beta version of Firefox, so there's more functionality. But in essence, you can have FF open whatever tabs you had open when you closed it (you also have a built-in spell checker that checks everything you type in..very cool).

As for extensions, I have tons on

ForecastFox (weather forecast in the task bar)
Google Notebook (allows to take notes/links between PCs)
ViewMyCurrency (converts in real time foreign currencies to your own, no matter where it is on the screen)
YahooToolbar

etc

Try and create a bookmark containing all the tabs you want to open at start up and then set your home page to that bookmark? I haven't tried it myself but it sounds promising.

As for formattingn while editing, that is an ongoing problem. Try hitting <Return> rather than clicking OK in the dialog box?

Sometimes that works for me.

That's what I do, and it works.

theres an extension called 'sessionsaver' - opens the set of pages you had when u shut it
