I am not going to talk much about the accident as I am still pis**d off about it (the guy was more or less stoned, did not see us coming from his right, no insurance, just the full moron package)

My girlfriend and myself are fine except for a few bruises, the car bumper was totalled (3 pieces on the ground) and my GS is scratched all over and has a case of frame bending.
Two of the aluminium tubes (the one where the passenger left footpeg is attached + plus the one behind) are slightly bended.

I have the feeling that my dealer will have to change ALL the frame... I wonder if it would be less expensive for my insurance company to give me a new GS as I guess that changing the frame on a GS would mean countless days of work...

oh dear

Glad you're both OK

Don't know about European insurance but I think our companies work on the basis that if its going to cost more than 3/4's of the cost of a replacement then they will replace. Also I think I heard somewhere that if its less than a certain age (12months?) then it gets replaced!!

Not sure - but at least you're both relatively ok.

Let us know how it turns out

Sherpa;)

I had my rear subframe changed a while back to fix the snapped sidestand mount problem. I was quite amazed that the subframe only cost about £300. Fitting was done in a day, and the nice guys at Vines even tidied up my Autocom wiring and make it look very professional :D

I think most of the fitting time is taken cutting off a million cable ties and then replacing them later on.

Glad you are OK, sorry to hear about the crash. Hope you nutted the driver.

Grrrrr... and they're out there catching people who speed, like the speed cam van I passed today... GRRRRRrrr.... I bet one could drive past it with a coffee, newspaper, smoking a cigar and having a whiskey, as long as you're doing less than max-speed... Grrrrr...

They should be out there catching dorks like this instead!

Glad you and the missus are OK! Too bad about the bike! Hope you get it sorted without too much problems.

Glad you're OK. I agree with Joker, there are too many speed camera's and not enough Police patrols. Speed camera's do not catch drunk/stoned/uninsured/unlicenced drivers.

Every bikers toolkit should include a Taser....then you can take out your revenge.

Great to hear you are both OK.
