Thanks Aidan, I've heard about the black being quicker, might just buy myself a black Baglux tank cover, that should give it a bit more top end!!!! What d'ya fink???

Just been to Sawbridgeworth to discuss booking a test ride on a 12GS and got the price list. I didn't flinch when I spent £8795 last year on my now deceased Fireblade but there's something scary about crossing the 10k barrier for an ABS/ hotgrips/ engine guard and dwarf seat equipped 12GS. Still think I'll take the plunge though as there is nothing else like it from any other dealer.

Do yourslef a favour and test ride an 1150, be it a used GS or a brand new GS Adv. I went to SLM, Caterham to test ride a 12 and it was almost as an afterthought that I had a go on the 1150 that I subsequently put a deposit on. I thought the 12 would be the one for me and was very surprised by my final choice.

Know him??!! I thought you were an item!!!

As for the speed thing, I think by the time you've fitted all your accessories you'll be slower than a slow thing on a slow road.

You might want to consider an Adv petrol tank, your fuel consumption is gonna rocket with all the extra weight!!

Ah, yes but the thing is, i can afford to fit the extras, 'cos as mine is yellos, its gonna be faster than yours already, so the extra weight wil allow you to ave a fighting chance of keeping up!!!

i know, I qwill suggest to Touratech that thye design some blocks to be screwed to teh bottom of yer boots to take up the slack!!!!!
