Fitting a Givi AF330 to a 1200 GSA - method NOT pros and cons, please!

Sorry for the hijack

I used to live near where a lot of his stuff was done so have a personal if not a professional interest in these old planes.
I loved that RR Heritage book because unlike most of it's "friends" there was a lot of information about how the projects were managed. Also some stuff about Stewart Tresilian, probably the most talented engine designer of his day. He wanted RR to build smaller engines running at double the revs. More power from less weight. Sadly, the corporates were too wedded to big and slow. Then along came the jets so piston engines got sidelined.

No problem - as far as I am concerned - with thread hijacking as we seem to have thrashed the screen-thing to beyond death and interests outside bikes helps maintain a balanced view and can introduce stuff that is not within one's experience. I, for instance, have a positively unhealthy interest in underground wartime and post-war structures. Other, future readers may have other views about thread hijacking :-)

Hi Dave

For some reason, your reply about Fauld has not appeared here. But, yes, I'd love to gain access to the site apparently many of the tunnels are intact - although very unstable.

Cheers

Richard
