I am shortly taking delivery of 08;08 model year 1200GSA. I spoke to another Adv.owner and he said best thing he has done is fit remus downpipes and thus eliminate the cat. he bought for about £235 and fitted them himself and said the benefit was smoother engine and better response. i am not a technical wizard but i like the idea of the best riding experience but dont seek to add sportsbike performance. any advice please? I still leave the remainder of the exhaust as standard i guess? where do i buy? etc etc Thanks. merrick

Remus headers will give your bike a little more lift and smooth out the well known little hiccup in the OE system.

Most people find that the OE can works fine with the Remus headers.

I'm coming up to a change soon and my Remus headers will be coming off very shortly.....you can purchase them for £235 postage paid....how's that sound?

This set have been on two bikes and have done about 30K miles.

Let me know

Agreed OE can works fine with the Remus headers plus change air filter to K&N. Did this about 18 months ago and would never go back:D

I've got the headers but didn't bother with a KN filter, it may cause the engine to run a bit lean and i'm sure the OEM filter is more than up to the job.

(Remus headers and akropovic end can fitted)
