I have recently purchased a set of Remus headers for my GSA 06 and was wondering how to attach the middle bracket as this set of headers appears to be different from those on Nippy Normans site any help would be appreciated . I have attached a picture of said bracket . Cheers Jay

I'm not at home, so can't actually look at my bike to compare the photo to my Remus's bracket.

But, when I fitted mine, I had to unbolt a rubber mounted hanger from the bottom of the engine, fit this through the Remus bracket, and re-attach.

IIRC, the stock can slid off the hanger easily enough, but I had to take it all off the bike and fit it to the Remus before reattaching as it was too fiddly with the hanger still mounted on the engine.

This sounds like lot of work, but it isn't; once you get under the bike and have a look it's only one bolt.

Hope this helps - best I can do without access to my garage to check ;)

Put the full system on my 06 and did not have the middle mount. Still not got it and no adverse effects

Eventually

I found this picture in the 1200 section . So any one got One :augie

well

Hi Jay,

It should already be on your bike, when you take your old exhaust of it will be on there, prize ot out and slip it on, simples..

oh and make sure it goes on the right way round, makes it easier when you tighten it up.

Yep - that's the exact bit I was trying to describe.

If it ain't attached to the bottom of your engine, then it should be on your old zorst (depending on which of the two fixings was undone when your stock can was removed).

If it's not there, and you bought your bike used, then I guess someone's changed the exhaust before and forgot to put it back? :blast

If that's the case you could get one from your dealer, or perhaps just make one easily enough by drilling a metal plate (or even using something like a jubilee clip if you fancy a bodge)? :augie

The exhaust on the bike is the original the bracket that supports the cat cannot be used with the Remus cos it wraps around the whole thing and is too big . There is a bracket attached to the bike which is what the Remus and the original bracket attach to IE the rubber mount slides on too. I have spoken to Motor works and waiting for them to get back to see if they can get one on its own as usually they were sold with the exhaust . The new ones are attached to the headers . Hope this all makes sense . Cheers Jay
