Received my new Touratech Hand-guards today, any advice on fitting, don't seem to be able to get the brackets open to get them around the handlebars. Instructions say bend them open is there an easy way of doing this?

Two big long screwdrivers to prise them open then some molegrips to close and they will take it, despite appearing brittle.

Mine have been open and closed 3 times successfully.

Cheers mate, will go and try that now.

How do you find them in wet weather I've got the big spoilers?

Ah well the problem is not som much what comes over the bar, more what comes up from underneath. Riding in the wet road spray will find its way up and onto your mirrors. :(

I think the best solution must be Sherpas spoilers on OE handguards (if we're talking about the 1150 that is).

Fitted them okay. Water comes from underneath with the OE ones aswell,so no difference there then. Going out for a ride tommorow so will see.
