Well currently sat in Bahnstormer Alton as despite cleaning and greasing, the flappy valve on my 2019 GSA finally gave up the ghost (10,000 miles) ridden all year round.

Brought in this morning and new headers being fitted....

Shite it will go so soon

Good they are replacing the headers

TBH unless it puts an error light on the dash,

i'd not bother, unless its failed closed. then you'll know ;)

It did and every time I cleared it using the GS-911 it came back until A second fault code popped up related to the flappy value I hadn't seen before which prompted me to get it in.

no loss of power or anything but it's under warranty so get my monies worth whilst I can

Did the repair involve two visits - one to diagnose the fault and another to fit the headers after they`d ordered them, or did they have the parts in stock and they were fitted there and then on the same day?

Is this the warranty you got when you bought the bike from BMW or one you took out.
I rang up the BMW used approved warranty and asked if the exhaust was covered and was told No.
Please tell us what Bahnstormer put the claim in as for them to cover the exhaust and replace it under the warranty.

That's great news as I've read other posts saying it's not covered!
Thanks,
Ian.
It's not covered if you have the BMW insured warranty, but it is if it's a used bike warranty. The thing is as well, if BMW replace free of charge and your warranty runs out before the two years parts warranty they will not replace again. But if you make a contribution, then you get the 2 years parts warranty on the headers. Ask me how I know :)

No it was one visit (I was already booked in for a service)

However I already knew the issue as had plugged in a GS-911 and had told them over the phone, however they didn't take my word for it and plugged in themselves to check (which is to be expected) and then he just came and found me and said it'll be a couple of hours whilst we change the headers and that was it.

I bought the bike second hand from them so it was with the 2 year warranty that came with it

I would argue that this is a known fault (he said it was)

However if (more likely when) it happens again I will just just buy a set of headers that deletes the flapper value as they are actually quite cheap compared (less than £400)
